We are switching from oil to gas. Does the chimney need attention?
Almost always. The installer of the new gas appliance has to confirm on New Jersey's chimney verification form that the flue is lined and sized for it, and a flue built for an oil burner is rarely the right size for gas without work.
Do people out here still use wood stoves?
