We switched from oil to gas years ago. Why does the chimney still give trouble?
A flue built for an oil boiler is usually too large for the gas appliance now using it. The cooler exhaust condenses inside, and the water runs down the liner. We measure the flue itself as well as the appliance before recommending a fix.
Our water heater is the only thing left on the chimney. Is that a problem?
